Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or date of birth entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Osceola County Warrant Records does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to review it and respond. Messages remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a visitor loads a page, the servers automatically receive basic technical and usage details:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring website, when one is reported
- Pages opened and approximate time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They help measure which pages draw visits and where a visit ends. Analytics providers combine that traffic information into reports. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some site features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Sending a search request to the selected outside provider
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Maintaining site speed, stability, and availability
- Measuring which material visitors use and where improvements are needed
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
Osceola County Warrant Records does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of warrants or personal warrant information. It provides general directions to Iowa Courts Online, the Clerk of the District Court, and the Osceola County Sheriff. Iowa's IOWA System is restricted to criminal-justice users and is not a public warrant portal. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is handled under that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention, processing, and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Osceola County Sheriff, Iowa Judicial Branch resources, Iowa Courts Online, legal-help services, or outside search tools. After a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms govern the visit. Those terms should be read before personal information is shared.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select ads. That activity occurs on the providers' systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be received by:
- Analytics providers that measure site traffic and performance
- Search providers that process a submitted query
- Advertising networks that deliver ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal order compels disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information under this site's control. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights can depend on where a visitor lives and which law applies. The Iowa Open Records Law, Iowa Code chapter 22, governs access to public records held by Iowa government custodians, but it does not create control over data held by this private website. Subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law, a visitor may:
- Request deletion of eligible personal data
- Ask what personal data is held about the requester
- Object to or opt out of processing where the law provides that right
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with its new effective date.
